Print-friendly Version

    1 1/2 cups sifted confectioner's sugar
    1 cup butter
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
    2 1/2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Cream the confectioner's sugar and butter, then mix in egg and flavorings. Sift the flour and blend in
dry ingredients. Refrigerate the mixture 2-3 hours.

Divide dough in half and roll out on a lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut cookies in
desired shapes, then place on lightly greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with decorative sugar (any color
desired), or plan to ice after cooking (and cooling), then sprinkling decorative sugar on top of
the icing.

Bake at 375-degrees for 7-8 minutes or until golden brown. The mix makes 5 dozen delightful cookies.

Use your imagination. Serve with love and lots of laughter (just like Sheri does!), then prepare to get
lots of requests for her Confectioner's Sugar Cookies recipe.
